Blaise , Mirecourt 7/8 size circa 1900 A beautifully wooded french violin from Mirecourt, with a lovely soft varnish, made by H Blaise, labelled his typical hand written label:” A l’enseigne de la bonne Lorraine H. Blaise est feseur de violons a Mirecourt H B”. This instrument had some woodworm damagebelow the tailpiece, which I repaired; it is otherwise in good conditions, with a sweet and warm tone. |
